U.S. must fix its roads, bridges

It is critical to maintain our country’s infrastructure of roads and bridges, over which millions of Americans travel each day. Many of the nation’s roads and bridges are in immediate need of emergency repairs, while many others will be in need of repairs in the coming years.

Safety is and must be a priority for all of the millions of motorists who use these roads and bridges every day. The federal government needs to appropriate a portion of the stimulus package for these critical maintenance repairs on our national infrastructure, and those repairs must be ongoing and cannot be delayed due to political red tape.
