Cavo collects pajamas, books for kids

More than 100 people put on their pajamas and filled Cavo restaurant in Astoria to support the Pajama Program, a non-profit organization that provides warm pajamas and books to children in foster care throughout the United States.

Tommy Demaras, owner of CAVO, and Maria L. Delgado, Director of Luna’s Path of Wellness, organized the event, which helped bring in more than 300 pajamas and books for the Pajama Program.

During the evening, guests were treated to some great food and the opportunity to catch up with friends while raising awareness and supplies for a good cause.

The Pajama Program was founded by Genevieve Piturro in 2001 and, the program has given more than 900,000 pairs of PJs to children in need. For further information, please visit www.pajamaprogram.com.
