Robbers use victims’ ATM cards

Police are looking for the suspects they say are wanted in connection with a pattern of three armed robberies that have them using the victim’s ATM cards.
The first incident occurred on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in the vicinity of the Grand Central Parkway and Avon Road when three male blacks approached the 63-year-old female victim as she entered her vehicle. They dragged her into the trunk of another vehicle, removed her personal property, and held her in the vehicle while a female accomplice used her ATM card to withdraw money from her account. The victim was later released unharmed.
On Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in the vicinity of Kendrick Place and Mayfield Road, two suspects approached the 58-year-old female victim as she exited her vehicle, forced her back into her vehicle, removed her personal property, and held her in the car while a female accomplice used her ATM card to withdraw money from her account. The victim was later left in her vehicle unharmed.
The latest incident occurred on Friday, January 14 in the vicinity of Marengo Street and McLaughlin Avenue when two perps approached the 68-year-old female victim and pushed her into her vehicle, at which time she screamed and the two suspects fled in a dark-colored sedan.
“I am disheartened to hear of the latest attempt to abduct a senior woman near my home on Marengo Street and McLaughlin Avenue,” said Assemblymember David Weprin. “It’s imperative that the 107th Police Precinct increase patrols in the area and for neighbors to report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1 immediately.”
In all the incidents a firearm was either displayed or threatened. Some of the robbery suspects wore masks.
The suspects are all male blacks in their 20s. The lone female suspect is in her 20s, 5’3″ to 5’6″, 120 to 140 pounds, with long black curly hair.
