JACKSON HEIGHTS — A teenager was arrested last week for allegedly trying to rob a deli, the Queens district attorney’s office said.
Jasen Debbagh, 16, of 31st Avenue, was arraigned Dec. 27 on robbery, resisting arrest and criminal possession of a weapon charges, according to the DA.
The day before he entered a deli at 91st Street and 31st Avenue between 6:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. wearing a ski mask and displaying a knife, the criminal complaint said.
After allegedly demanding money, he stole two packs of cigarettes before fighting with a clerk and fleeing the scene, according to the complaint.
When a police officer arrested the teen, the ski mask was in Debbagh’s possession, the DA’s office said.
