A 60-year-old Brooklyn resident has been arrested in the stabbing of a 40-year-old Laurelton man to death late Friday on East 51st Street between Avenues K and L in Brooklyn, police said. The New York Post reported the man, 40-year-old Shayne Sinclair, was a handyman for the boarding house where he was slain.
At 8:32 p.m. Friday, police responded to a 911 call of a man stabbed. When they arrived, they found Sinclair unconscious with a stab wound in his chest, police said. The city Emergency Medical Service, which also responded to the scene, transported Sinclair to Brookdale Hospital, police said. Sinclair was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, police said.
On Wednesday police said they had arrested a resident of the boarding house, Irving Errol, and charged him with murder.
Sinclair was a handyman at the Brooklyn address, described as a boarding house, and was there late at night to retrieve his tools, the Post reported. He was stabbed after arguing with Errol, the Post reported.
Sinclair lived on 230th Place near South Conduit Avenue in Laurelton. His family could not be located.
