Arlene Pedone, former member of the Richmond Hill Block Association, passed away recently.
She also served as a member of Community Board (CB) 9, where she chaired the Youth and Education Committee.
“She was very involved, a very active member of the community,” said CB 9 District Manager Mary Ann Carey.
She was president of AHRC New York City, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, and on the board of Governors of NYSARC, Inc. at the time of her death.
Pedone is survived by her husband Paul, children Michelle (Rocky), Stacey, Allison (John) and grandchildren Elizabeth (Anthony). Also survived by her brother Phillip (Arlene) and her sister Roz Horowitz and a large extended family.
Arrangements were handled by the Leahy-McDonald Funeral Home in Richmond Hill.
