Queens residents can now see a whole new world at Pearle Vision in Rego Park.
Located at 61-35 Junction Boulevard in the new Rego Center, Pearle Vision has eye doctors on staff for eye exams and also offers a variety of products including contact lenses, eyeglasses, and sunglasses. Owner Wayne Kelly said the new Rego Park location, which opened in February of this year, was a very exciting venture for the whole Pearle Vision team.
“We were originally on Queens Boulevard for 40 years and it’s one of the oldest Pearle Visions in the system,” Kelly said. “Foot traffic on that section of the boulevard had diminished, so now in the new Rego Center there are retailers there and it’s exciting for us to be in the middle of that.”
Kelly, who has owned the Rego Park store for the past 12 years and is also an optician who employs optometrists at the store, said Pearle Vision differs from other similar optical businesses because it is very convenient to customers but still maintains the highest professionalism, care and service.
“Pearle Vision is a national brand, so a great thing is you could go to the same store in south Florida and still get that same great service with impressive standards,” he said. “It’s something we strive to do everyday – it’s part of the Pearle Vision family.”
He added that Pearle Vision’s mission, “Creating a better optical,” is further maintained by giving customers the best service so they “pay a fair price and get a good product in return.”
From simple frames to designer fashions such as Prada and Dolce & Gabbana, Pearle Vision carries many brands of eyeglasses. Contact lenses brands include Acuvue and Cooper, and Kelly said Pearle creates “lenses of the highest quality with best coatings.” Customers can also choose from an array of prescription and non-prescription sunglasses such as Oakley and Ray Ban. He also added they specialize in polarized lenses, which are designed to block high glare.
“In the eye world today, it’s very important to wear sunglasses to protect yourself from ultraviolet rays,” Kelly said.
Pearle Vision is currently offering “the ultimate BOGO.” Customers can buy one pair of eyewear and get a second free. This applies to eyeglasses and sunglasses.
