NAACP holds Freedom Fund Dinner Dance

The NAACP Jamaica Branch Youth Council held its second annual Freedom Fund Dinner Dance at Springfield High School on Saturday, March 26. The Youth Council is made up of members 15 years old and younger, and last month traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the first National Youth Summit called “Voices in Action” to take part in President Barack Obama’s initiative of College Completion by 2020. The Youth Council participates in voter registration drives and hosts educational events.
