The driver of this sedan was injured after his ride lost control, struck a parked car and overturned at a Corona intersection last Friday afternoon, Dec. 31, 2011, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the crash occurred at around 5:05 p.m. aat the corner of Northern Boulevard and 104th Street. Members of Engine Co. 316, Ladder Co. 154, Battalion 52, the 115th Precinct and EMS units responded to the incident. Using the Hurst tool-commonly known as the “jaws of life”-firefighters removed the driver from the damaged vehicle. He was brought by paramedics to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
