School ‘challenge’ for Area Students

Test Knowledge Of Science, Spelling & More

Martin Luther School (MLS) in Maspeth will be hosting an “Academic Challenge” for students in grades three through eight on Saturday, Mar. 24.

The competition will consist of a spelling bee, a Bible quiz bowl, a mathematics challenge, a science quiz bowl and a geography quiz bowl.

The first and second place finishers will receive either a scholarship to Martin Luther School’s middle or high school programs or a gift card.

“There are so many opportunities for our young athletes to show off their skills,” said Martin Luther Head of School Randal C. Gast. “Our ‘Academic Challenge’ will be an opportunity for young men and women to show off their brain power.”

Martin Luther School is located at 60-02 Maspeth Ave., between 60th and 61st streets.
