Thousands of people laced up their walking shoes in order to raise funds to help patients fight breast cancer during the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park on Sunday morning

Children of all ages got a chance to meet and greet the Easter Bunny during a photo session hosted by the Greater Woodhaven Development Corporation (GWDC) and the Woodhaven Business Improvement District last Saturday, Mar. 31, at Forest Parkway Plaza. Shown with the Easter Bunny-whose visit was made possible by Matt Cronin of the GWDC-are (from left to right) Charlene Seepersaud of the GWDC, Stacey Kaloudis, GWDC Executive Director Maria Thomson, children Alex Polanco and Nicholas and Christopher Davila, Janice Rangahan and the GWDC’s Lisa Komninos and Megan Arfmann.
