Robert Neidkowski, a freshman at Christ the King High School in Middle Village, recently received the Roger Payne Memorial Award for Best Column from The Tablet, the newspaper of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, during the publication’s 2012 High School Press Awards contest. In all, nine high schools participated along with their press and moderators from St. Francis College in Brooklyn. Neidkowski (at left) is pictured with Maria Paglinawan, editor of The Royal Times, Christ the King’s school newspaper.
