Bounce Back From Bad Start To Win Championship

The season did not start very well for The Metro Baseball Magazine baseball team this spring, but it ended in a championship.

The 2012 Metro Baseball U12 team consists of (listed in alphabetical order) Joe Fragala, Tyler Fricano, Chris Mannino, Brian Morales, John O’Rourke, Daniel Quinn, Sebastian Rivera, Jack Sinnott, Louis Torres, Michael Urbano, Ricky Varuzzi, Ryan White, Manager John O’Rourke, Coach Joe Fragala and Coach Anthony Urbano.

The RGMVM LL U12 team started their spring season quickly, going 0-2. Hard work and perseverance helped guide the team to a regular season record of 7-6.

Injuries and other circumstances had an adverse impact on the overall season results. But the roster kept on fighting and grinding game after game.

The pitching and hitting by players like John O’Rourke, Joe Fragala and Mike Urbano kept hope alive at the beginning of the season for the Metro team. Players such as Sebastion Riviera, Chris Mannino, Ricky Veruzy, Jack Sinot, Luis Torres and Brian Morares began to hit with suc- cess as the season wore on. Daniel Quinn, Ryan White and Tyler Fricano also had their share of plays and hits as the season moved along.

The team moved on to the post season where they went 4-0. They went on to win it all, making the entire experience unforgettable for the 11 and 12 year olds.
