Remembering the Slocum In Middle Village

Local lawmakers and veterans came together at All Faiths Cemetery in Middle Village last Saturday, June 9 to remember the victims of the General Slocum, a civilian boat that went ablaze along the East River in 1904, killing over 1,100. In attendance were (left to right) State Sen. Joseph Addabbo; former State Sen.
