Ridgewood Troops ‘rock the Mall’

Members of Girl Scout Troop 4169 from St. Matthias Church in Ridgeowod recently spent a weekend in Washington, D.C. as part of the national celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts. As noted, the young girls took part in a “Rock the Mall” singalong on the National Mall near the Washington Monument and visited a host of Washington landmarks including the National Archives, Ford’s theater, the White House, the Pentagon, the Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial. Troop members are pictured standing near the Washington Monument. In all, over 300,000 girls and adults from across the country took part in the gathering.
