I am writing to request that something be done as soon as possible with regard to the newly installed traffic light on the left side of Parsons Boulevard and the eastbound Long Island Expressway service road.
The problem is the light is completely obscured by several large branches of the sycamore tree, which is at that corner on that side of Parsons, which would be the left side if you were driving down Parsons to the service road.
Why didn’t the city Department of Transportaion see to it that those limbs were pruned away prior to installing the traffic light pole and signal? There must be better coordination between city agencies. If it is the responsibility of the city Parks Department to prune these limbs, then it needs to do so and fast.
Can someone or some agency please look into this problem?
