Weatherman Talks with Kids In Glendale

Thousands of people laced up their walking shoes in order to raise funds to help patients fight breast cancer during the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park on Sunday morning

Students at St. John’s Lutheran School in Glendale got a special lesson on the weather on Monday, Oct. 1, from WABC-TV meterologist Jeff Smith (standing at left). As noted, the forecaster talked with the youngsters about his job as well as the causes of major weather events such as hurricanes, blizzards and tornadoes.
