Beginning Tuesday morning, the subway will once again run in the Rockaway Peninsula after Superstorm Sandy damaged the “A” line’s connection to area.

The “H” train, which will operate using a connection not normally used for service called Hammels Wye, will run every 15 minutes between the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue and Beach 90th Street stations, making intermediate stops.

Trains will operate from 4 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. from Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue and between 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. from Beach 90th Street.

To connect to the rest of the city’s transit system, riders can take a free shuttle bus from the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue station to the Howard Beach/JFK Airport stop, where they can get the “A” train.
