Bringing Down the Holiday Curtain with a Final Look at Area Concerts

As the holiday season comes to a close, the Times Newsweekly looks back at some of the various Christmas and holiday concerts held during the final days of 2012. As shown in Photo 1, fifth-graders at P.S. 81 in Ridgewood performed holiday favorites at their concert. Kindergartners at P.S./I.S. 87 in Middle Village are pictured in Photo 2 performing at their winter showcase. In Photos 3 and 4, kindergarten and pre-kindergarten students at Redeemer Lutheran School in Glendale acted out the Nativity scene and sang Christmas songs during their concert. The St. Margaret’s Children’s Choir and the Grace Notes, under the direction of Kathy Burger, performed a mix of Christmas music at the Middle Village church (photo 5). Finally, all of the students participating in St. Brigid Catholic Academy’s Christmas show took to the stage of the school on the Ridgewood/Bushwick border in Glendale (photo 6).
