New York Cares visited P.S. 11 in Woodside on Saturday

Over 320 practitioners and jurists gathered at Temple Torah for the annual installation of the officers and board of the Brandeis Association, the bar association of Queens County for Jewish judges and attorneys. As noted, A. Gail Prudenti, chief administrative judge of the Courts of New York State, provided the keynote address and installed the board, which includes Judge Bernice D. Siegal, chairperson, and Neda Melamed, president. Administrative Judge of the Judicial District Jeremy Weinstein was also presented with the Louis D. Brandeis Award for Excellence. Among the many jurists in attendance were Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division Second Department Randall Eng, Associate Justices of the Appellate Division Sheri Roman, Ruth Balken, Jeffrey Cohen and Sandra Sgroi, Surrogate of Queens County Peter Kelly, Administrative Judge of the Supreme Court Fernando Camacho and outgoing Supervising Judge of the Civil Court Charles Lopresto.
