The Year of the Snake was celebrated in grand style in Elmhurst last Saturday, Feb. 23, with the community’s first Asian Lunar New Year Parade. Organized in part by City Council Member Daniel Dromm, the march was the newest feature of the neighborhood’s third-annual celebration. The parade, which was postponed from Feb. 2 due to a blizzard, took place along Broadway between Moore Homestead Park and St. James Episcopal Church. Dromm and State Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky were among those who participated.
