Flexing Their Science Muscles In R’wood

Grover Cleveland High School had the home court as the city’s Science Olympiad was held in on Saturday, Feb. 2 in the Ridgewood school’s gym. Seniors Paul Watt and Lauren Aldoroty from Trevor Day High School in Manhattan are shown in the top left photo performing in the robotic arm competition, while St. Francis Preparatory High School teammates Adrianna Kahn, and Christopher Paider, are pictured in the top right photo preparing their vehicle for the second run of the gravity vehicle competition. The Grover Cleveland team is shown in the middle photo, with City Council Member Diana Reyna (11th from left) and Principal Denise Vittor. Taking top honors, however, was the team from Townsend Harris High School in Flushing (bottom photo), led by (bottom row, far left) head coach Tom Sangiorgi.
