Injuries In Glendale Blaze

Five people-including a firefighter-were hospitalized with injuries after a one-alarm fire ripped through a Glendale home early last Thursday morning, Feb. 14, Fire Department sources said. Reportedly, the inferno ignited at around 1:35 a.m. on the top floor of a two-story residence on 68th Place near Central Avenue. Multiple FDNY units, the 104th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. Three residents were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of smoke inhalation, while a fourth resident was hospitalized with serious burns. A firefighter was also treated for minor injuries sustained while battling the blaze. Two hose lines were used by FDNY units to bring the fire under control, a Fire Department source said.
