Waiting Too Long For Quality Bus Service

Dear Editor:

What has happened to the Q29 bus service from Glendale?

I waited at the bus stop on 80th Street and Metropolitan Avenue for 40 minutes this morning (Thursday, Jan. 31). At the height of rush hour, between 8 and 8:40 a.m., one bus passed 10 people because it was too crowded, and a second bus passed and didn’t even bother to stop. There should be at least five buses at this time.

The people who live in Glendale and Middle Village are responsible, tax-paying citizens. They are dependent on the Q29 to get to work.

In the meantime, seven Q47 buses passed us going toward LaGuardia Airport during the same time period. Hardly anyone uses the Q47 in this area.

Please bring back the Q29 service to Glendale and Middle Village.
