The Queens Pride House celebrated its 15th anniversary with a benefit event held on Sept. 27 at Novo in Jackson Heights. As noted

Heidi Harrison Chain, the president of the 112th Precinct Community Council, was among those honored last Thursday, Mar. 7, by the NYPD and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York for for their volunteer response to Hurricane Sandy. The award ceremony was held at Gargiulo’s restaurant in Coney Island.
