Sworn In for Duty at Queensbr. Houses

The new members of the Queensbridge Houses Residents Association were initiated into the group by City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer during a ceremony last Saturday, Mar. 16, at the Jacob Riis Settlement House. As shown, Van Bramer was joined by State Sen. Michael Gianaris and Bishop Mitchell Taylor in swearing in the Queensbridge Tenants Association’s new members: April L. Simpson, president; Sheila Macklin, first vice president; Jeannette Battle, second vice president; Jason Alston, secretary; Sheniqua Webb Tyler, treasurer and Vera Ogletree, sergeant at-arms. Also pictured is Kadisha Wilson of the New York City Housing Authority.
