The boys and girls of summer at the Ridgewood-Glendale-Middle Village-Maspeth Little League started the 2013 season with pride by marching in the league’s Opening Day Parade last Saturday morning, Apr. 6. Escorted by police, the Glendale/104th Precinct Civilian Observation Patrol and a color guard, the teams marched along Myrtle Avenue and Union Turnpike to Seither Stadium. After arriving at their home field, the teams held a ceremony and threw their first pitches of the season. The teams, some of whom donned uniforms bearing the logos of major league clubs, also used the opportunity to pose for their team photos.
