The Howard Beach Post Office at Coleman Square was reopened last week with a ceremony attended by Assemblyman Phil Goldfeder and State Sen. Joseph Addabbo. The U.S. Postal Service had been closed for more than five months after being damaged by flooding during Hurricane Sandy. Shown at the ribbon-cutting ceremony are (from left to right) Community Board 10 Chairperson Betty Braton; Hamilton Beach Civic Association President Roger Gendron; Addabbo; Howard Beach Post Office Branch Manager Vincent Zecca; Goldfeder; and local business owner Frances Scarantino.
