Promoting Unity and Harmony at Concert In Bushwick

The threat of inclement weather and track work which forced the shutdown of the M line postponed the Unity Parade at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick last Saturday, May 18, but organizers and guests enjoyed a concert that went ahead as scheduled. The parade and concert were organized by the Association of Hispanic Ministries in their ongoing effort to promote a peaceful and tolerant community. The concertgoers are pictured along with Pastor Julio Mercado, the association’s senior bishop.
