A four-alarm fire ripped through multiple floors of an apartment complex in Richmond Hill Tuesday evening, fire officials said.

Emergency responders received the call about the building blaze on 129th Street between Kew Gardens Road and Metropolitan Avenue just after 6 p.m., and the fire was upgraded to four alarms less than an hour later, a spokesman for the FDNY said. As of 9:10 p.m., the fire had not yet been classified as under control, the spokesman said.

Three people – one of New York’s Bravest and two civilians – suffered minor injuries as of 8:45 p.m., and one of those people refused medical attention, the spokesman said.

About 39 vehicles and 168 members of the Fire Department were on scene to assist at the blaze, according to fire officials.
