Honor Society Members Installed In Astoria

Seventh-graders at St. Pancras Church in Glendale received the sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Frank Caggiano of the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens during a ceremony on Oct. 19 at the house of worship. The candidates for confirmation were both St. Pancras School students and youngsters in St. Pancras’ CCD program. Concelebrating the Mass with Bishop Caggiano were Msgr. Gregory Wielunski

Scores of students at St. John’s Preparatory School in Astoria were recently inducted into the National Honor Society. The induction ceremony included remarks from Principal William Higgins and the lighting of candles by the executive officers of the school chapter of the society: President Sabrina Caride, Vice President Lauren Martinez, Secretary Ashraful Islam and Treasurer Linda Imafidon.
