The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in capturing two men responsible for the armed robbery of a cell phone store in Sunnyside last month. As previously reported in this paper, the stickup occurred at 9 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2013 at the T-Mobile store located at 46-01 Queens Blvd. Law enforcement sources said the two suspects entered the location, displayed firearms and ordered the employees to the rear of the location, where they were restrained with cable ties. After binding the victims, authorities stated, the crooks removed cash and electronic devices, then fled in an unknown direction. The robbery was later reported to the 108th Precinct; there were no reported injuries. Anyone with any information regarding the holdup or the suspects’ whereabouts that could prove helpful is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-577-TIPS, by text message to 274637 (enter information, then the code TIP577) or online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
