Rep. Joe Crowley joined An Angel in Queens Founder Jorge Muñoz last Thursday, Jan. 30, to distribute meals to homeless and unemployed New Yorkers on Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. As noted, Muñoz has served more than 225,000 meals to disadvantaged residents since he began the charity in 2004. Two days earlier, Muñoz was Crowley’s honored guest during President Obama’s State of the Union address on Capitol Hill. Pictured with Crowley and Muñoz is Luz Muñoz, Jorge’s sister.
