He Opened Fire at Sign Store

Community Board 5 District Manager Gary Giordano addressed the effects of Hurricane Sandy and the city budget during last Thursday’s Glendale Property Owners Association meeting at St. Pancras Pfeifer Hall.

The man pictured at right is wanted by police for shooting at a South Ozone Park sign store early on Sunday morning, Feb. 2. Law enforcement sources said the incident took place at 12:06 a.m. in front of Magical Signs located at 111-09 Rockaway Blvd. Reportedly, the suspect- described by police as a Hispanic male in his 20s standing between 5’5″- and 5’7″-tall; weighing 130 lbs; and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black sneakers-pulled out a black handgun and fired a shot into the store, then fled from the scene. Members of the 106th Precinct responded to the location; there were no reported injuries.
