Lawmaker Visits Sunnyside Pre-k

Assemblywoman Catherine Nolan recently toured Sunnyside Community Services’ pre-kindergarten program. Nolan stated the program’s two part-time classes for 4-year-olds is supported through a city Department of Education grant awarded this school year. Pictured with Nolan and many of the prekindergarten students are Sunnyside Community Services Director Judy Zangwill, teacher Chaka Blackman, assistant teacher Jennifer Lecler-Fuentes and teacher’s aide Maria Chalen.
