The Our Lady of Hope girls seventh-grade softball team won the CYO Brooklyn-Queens Intermediate Championship game, played at Msg. McClancy Memorial High School in Jackson Heights on Saturday, June 21 between the seventh-grade and eighth-grade girls teams from the Middle Village School. The seventh-grade team played in the eighth-grade division this year and won their fourth consecutive championship with a stunning 3-2 win in extra innings. Winning pitcher Nicole Werner had seven strikeouts en route to her 13th win of the season. The team ended the season with a 16-1 record overall. The team is pictured after their win.
