A pedestrian was stuck and killed by a motor vehicle in Jamaica just before 5 a.m. Saturday, according to the NYPD. Police from the 103rd Precinct responded to a 911 call and discovered a 53-year-old man with trauma to his body. The man was allegedly struck by a 2007 Dodge Charger as he crossed Liberty Avenue, near Tuckerton Street, in the vicinity of York College. The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The operator of the Charger remained at the scene and there were no arrests, according to the NYPD. The investigation is ongoing and the man’s identification is pending family notification.
