FLUSHING — Police arrested three men following a chase and car crash after they allegedly robbed a Flushing 7-Eleven at gunpoint early Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.
Responding officers arrived at the store, at 171-02 Northern Blvd., just after 2 a.m. to see the suspects taking off in a 2014 Nissan Altima, according to cops.
The three men, who police identified as Astoria residents Lorenzo McCallister, 22, and Aurthur Lilly, 29, and Joseph Peña, 21, of Manhattan, allegedly threw a wallet and cash they had taken from the 7-Eleven clerk out the car window at the intersection where Utopia Parkway meets the Long Island Expressway, police said.
The suspects then crashed into the side of a deli near the corner of 163rd Street and Pigeon Meadow Road, where they were taken into custody, according to police.
The NYPD said they found a shotgun in the car and the three men were charged with grand larceny, robbery and criminal use of a firearm.
