Seek Crook Who Robbed Wdhvn. Mart

Hungry for cash, an armed bandit picked up some big bucks from a Woodhaven convenience store during a stickup last Thursday, Sept. 11, according to police.

Reportedly, the caper occurred at noon inside the Prime Convenience Store located at 78- 21 Atlantic Ave.

According to law enforcement sources, the gunman—described as a black male believed to be 25 years old, standing 6’-tall and weighing 175 lbs.—walked into the location, approached the counter and displayed a silver firearm.

The bandit reportedly wore a black and gold jacket, a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police said the suspect instructed a store clerk to provide him with cash. The worker reportedly complied with the request and handed over $2,500 in currency.

The suspect took the cash and fled from the store on foot westbound along Atlantic Avenue, it was reported.

Officers from the 102nd Precinct responded to the incident; no injuries were reported.

An investigation is ongoing.
