Cops Probe Corona Man’s Death

Police continue to investigate the death of a Corona man found with a head injury on a neighborhood street last Friday night, Oct. 10, it was reported.

Law enforcement sources identified him as 51-year-old Amar Amador of 48th Avenue.

Officers from the 110th Precinct found Amador unconscious with head trauma in front of a location on Corona Avenue between 102nd and 103rd streets at about 11:32 p.m. last Friday.

Reportedly, he was located about two blocks from his residence.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, three young women passing through the area discovered the injured man and contacted 911 for assistance.

Paramedics brought Amador to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

His body was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.

Sources familiar with the case stated no criminality is suspected as of press time; however, an investigation by the 110th Precinct Detective Squad is ongoing.
