J & M Skip Bklyn. Stops On Weekdays

Jamaica Center-bound J trains and Middle Village-bound M trains will skip the Hewes Street, Lorimer Street and Flushing Avenue stations on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 9:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As a result of this change, all Manhattan-bound J trains will make local stops between Myrtle Avenue-Broadway and Marcy Avenue after 9:45 a.m.

For service to the skipped stations, take the J or M trains to Myrtle Avenue-Broadway, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J or M train. For service from the skipped stations, take the J or M train to Marcy Avenue (Unlimited MetroCard holders only) or Essex Street, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train or a Middle Village-bound M train.

Additionally, Manhattanbound J and M trains will skip the Flushing Avenue, Lorimer Street and Hewes Street stations on Tuesday through Thursday, Dec. 16-18, from 9:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As a result of this change, all Jamaica Center-bound J trains will make local stops between Marcy Avenue and Myrtle Avenue- Broadway until 3 p.m.

For service to the skipped stations, take the J or M train to Marcy Avenue (Unlimited MetroCard holders only) or Essex Street, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound J train or a Middle Village-bound M train. For service from these stations, take the J or M train to Myrtle Avenue- Broadway, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound J or M train.

Split Service Hits L Line In Brooklyn

L train service will operate in two sections-between Eighth Avenue and Broadway Junction; and between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway-on Monday, Dec. 15, through Thursday, Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Riders can transfer between L trains at Broadway Junction to continue their trip.

During this disruption, it was noted, all L trains running between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway will operate every 24 minutes. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

More Disruptions Affect The 7 Line

Manhattan-bound 7 trains will skip the 111th Street, 103rd Street, 90th Street and 82nd Street stations on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. These trains will continue to stop at Junction Boulevard.

For service to these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or 74th Street, then transfer to a Flushing-bound 7 train. For service from these stations, take the 7 train to Junction Boulevard or Mets- Willets Point, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

Additionally, 7 train service will be suspended between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square-42nd Street from 11:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16. During this period, 7 trains will operate between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, transfer to the N train at Queensboro Plaza or Times Square-42nd Street or the E or F trains at 74th Street- Roosevelt Avenue.

Free shuttle buses will replace 7 trains in Long Island City between Queensboro Plaza and Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue. These buses will stop at Queens Plaza for ADA access to the E line.

The shuttle bus stops are located as follows:

– Queensboro Plaza-on Queens Plaza South at 27th or Crescent streets;

– Queens Plaza-on 42nd Road at Jackson Avenue;

– Court Square-23rd Street- on Jackson Avenue at 45th Avenue (to Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue) or at Thomson Avenue (to Queensboro Plaza);

– Hunters Point Avenue-on 21st Street at 49th Avenue; and

– Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue-on Vernon Boulevard at 50th Avenue.

N Trains Skip Stops In Astoria Weekdays

Astoria-bound N trains will skip the 39th Avenue, 36th Avenue, Broadway and 30th Avenue stations on Tuesday through Friday, Dec. 16-19, from 10:15 a.m. until 3 p.m. During this period, Q trains will not operate between 57th Street and Astoria- Ditmars Boulevard.

For service to the skipped stations, take the N train to Astoria Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound N train. For service from these stations, take the N train to Queensboro Plaza, then transfer to an Astoria-bound N train.

Late Night Express On E This Weekend

Manhattan-bound E trains will operate express service between 71st-Continental Avenues and Roosevelt Avenue late nights this weekend, Saturday through Monday, Dec. 13-15, from 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.

For service to the 67th Avenue, 63rd Drive, Woodhaven Boulevard, Grand Avenue and Elmhurst Avenue stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Jamaica Centerbound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train.

Overnight Woes Hit E, F Lines In Queens

Manhattan-bound E and F trains will skip the 75th Avenue station late night on Friday, Dec. 12, from 10:45 p.m. to 5 a.m.

For service to this station, take the E or F train to 71st- Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E train or a Jamaica-bound F train. For service from this station, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike, then transfer to a Manhattanbound E or F train.

Additionally, Manhattanbound F trains will run on the M line between Roosevelt Avenue and 47th-50th Streets late night Friday and overnight on Monday, Dec. 15, through Friday, Dec. 19, from 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m.

As a result of this change, Manhattan-bound F train service will be unavailable at the 21st Street-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue-63rd Street and 57th Street stations.

For service to these stations, take the F train to 47th-50th Streets, then transfer to a Jamaicabound F train. For service from these stations, take the F train to Roosevelt Avenue, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.

Disruptions Slow G Train In Bklyn.

Bedford-Nostrand Avenues will serve as the last stop for alternate Church Avenue-bound G trains this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13-14, from 5 a.m. to midnight. This service change will be in effect each weekend through Sunday, Dec. 28.

Riders can transfer between G trains at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to continue their trip.

It was noted that all G trains running between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues will operate every 20 minutes. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Ozone Park A Line Closed For Weekend

A train service between Rockaway Boulevard and Lefferts Boulevard will be suspended this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, until 4:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15.

During this period, A trains will operate between 207th Street and either Howard Beach-JFK Airport or Mott Avenue-Far Rockaway. Manhattan-bound A trains will also skip the Rockaway Boulevard station.

Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service between 80th Street and Lefferts Boulevard. Riders can transfer between A trains and the free shuttle buses at 80th Street.

The shuttle bus stops are located as follows:

– 80th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 80th Street;

– 88th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 88th Street;

– Rockaway Boulevard-on 93rd Street at Liberty Avenue or on Liberty Avenue at 96th Street (to Lefferts Boulevard) or on Liberty Avenue at 93rd or 97th streets (to 80th Street);

– 104th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 104th Street;

– 111th Street-on Liberty Avenue at 111th Street; and

– Lefferts Boulevard-on Lefferts Boulevard at Liberty Avenue.

Station Renewal Affects A Train

The Manhattan-bound platforms at the 88th Street and 104th Street A train stations in Ozone Park remain closed through January 2015 for repairs related to the MTA’s station renewal program.

For service to these stations, take the A train to 80th Street, then transfer to an Ozone Park-bound or a Far Rockaway-bound A train. For service from these stations, take the A train to Rockaway Boulevard or 111th Street, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound A train.
