A distraught young woman Monday was talked off a ledge of the Kosciuszko Bridge, where it appeared he was threatening to jump.
Emergency Service Unit cops blocked traffic on the Brooklyn-bound side of the bridge for nearly an hour as they tried to lure the woman to climb back on to the roadway from a precarious perch dangling over the waters of Newtown Creek.
Officials could not immediately provide an identity for the woman or a reason why she trying to jump. She was taken to an unnamed hospital for evaluation, they said,
Cops got the original call from passing motorists shortly before noon.
