FLUSHING — Police were searching for a man who posed as a customer and raped a woman in a massage parlor in Flushing June 16.

At about 3:30 p.m., the man entered the massage parlor in the vicinity of Union Street and 37th Avenue, where he solicited a massage from a 40-year-old woman, according to the police.

Once inside a private room, the man raped the woman and fled the parlor, police said. The victim was taken to Queens Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

Officials described the man as a light-skinned Hispanic with black hair and a beard, between the ages of 23 and 27, from 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6 in height and weighing from 150 to 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a gray tank top, blue jeans and black boots, and was carrying a duffel bag with a Nike logo.

The investigation is ongoing, according to a police spokeswoman.
