Give a little to get a little.

Mets fans can get free tickets to a 2016 game for doing a good deed today at Citi Field as a part of the sports organization’s annual off-season food drive with Hain Celestial Group and City Harvest.

The drive is taking place on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mets Team Store at Citi Field.

Fans who donate 10 or more cans of nonperishable food items will receive one voucher for two tickets to a select Mets home game in April 2016. Donors will also receive a 15 percent discount off select regularly priced merchandise at the Mets Team Store today.

Items deemed most helpful to the drive include canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned proteins such as tuna or beans, plastic jars of peanut butter, packaged boxes of macaroni and cheese and family-sized packages of hot and cold cereal.

According to Fresh Meadows resident Melissa Mae McFadden, the event was publicized in her area through a flyer posted in a local pharmacy. Although she favors the Yankees over the Mets, McFadden said she will be donating because she wants to help out needy families.

“It’s very important to help in any way you can, especially in the harsh, cold winter months,” McFadden said.
