A man jumped to his death from a Long Island City hotel on Sunday afternoon, according to the FDNY.
The 46-year-old man jumped from an eighth floor window of the Country Inn & Suites, located at 40-34 Crescent St. At about 3:35 p.m., the FDNY responded to the scene, where he was pronounced dead.
According to published reports, members of the NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit were trying to convince the man to go back into his hotel when he jumped out of the window. His identity has not been released pending family notification.
