Police seek suspects in string of burglaries in Sunnyside and Woodside

Two culprits who broke into nine apartments in Sunnyside and Woodside between October and December and stole valuable items including cash and electronics remain at large, according to authorities.

The NYPD released a video on Tuesday of the suspects entering and leaving an apartment. The first suspect is described as a male in his 50s or 60s. The second suspect, according to police, is a male about 40 to 45 years old.

Police said the suspects picked the locks of the apartment doors to enter each location.

The first burglary occurred between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. The suspect(s) entered an apartment on 50th Street and removed an Omega watch and a Samsung tablet.

The next day, between 3 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 49th Street and removed an Apple iPad, jewelry, $200 in cash, four cellphones and four watches.

Between 3:30 and 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 53rd Street and removed a Macbook Pro, a bicycle, a paycheck for $650, a necklace and multiple credit cards.

On Wednesday, Nov. 4, between 3 and 5 p.m.,  the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 55th Street and removed multiple pieces of jewelry, a Mac laptop and $12,000 in cash.

The suspects struck again the next day. Between 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 5 and 3 a.m. on Nov. 6, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 56th Street but did not remove any property.

Between 9:20 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 47th Street and removed an iPhone, jewelry, electronics and $46 in cash.

One month later, between 12:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 49th Street and removed a Macbook, clothing, $700 in cash and multiple pieces of jewelry.

Between 8:45 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22, the suspect(s) entered an apartment on 52nd Street and removed a digital camera.

On the same day, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., one of the suspects entered an apartment on 43rd Avenue when a 45-year-old female observed him come in. The suspect fled through a window and up a fire escape. Nothing was taken.
