Man strikes victim with wooden stick on E train in LIC: NYPD

Police are looking for a suspect who struck a passenger on the E train with a wooden stick.

Police are searching for a man who physically assaulted a passenger on an E train in Long Island City with a wooden stick last month.

On Jan. 28, at approximately 7:15 p.m., the 31-year-old victim and the suspect had a verbal altercation that quickly turned physical, police said. The incident took place in a train car at the Queens Plaza stop.

The suspect then allegedly struck the victim with a wooden stick, causing an abrasion to his head and laceration on his lip before the suspect fled the train on foot.

The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.
