Two hit-and-run drivers fatally strike man on a South Ozone Park street, cops say

A man was struck twice on Sunday by separate vehicles in South Ozone Park before succumbing to his injuries.

At approximately 2:33 a.m., the 43-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of 115th Avenue and 131st Street, police said. Officials found him unconscious and unresponsive with severe head and body trauma and pronounced him dead on the scene.

According to police, a vehicle of an unknown make and model struck the victim first; the man was then hit seconds later by a luxury black SUV. Both vehicles fled the location in unknown directions.

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification. An investigation is ongoing.
