Transgender woman slashed in the stomach after turning down sex offer in Elmhurst: reports

A transgender woman was stabbed on an Elmhurst street this week after turning down a man’s request for a sexual favor, it was reported.

Police said the attack occurred at 3:45 a.m. in the area of Aske and 94th streets.

According to authorities, the 47-year-old victim was walking through the area and was approached by the suspect, identified as a Hispanic male, who asked her for sex. After she turned the man down, the perpetrator grabbed her and repeated his demand, only to be refused a second time.

Then, police said, the suspect pulled out a box cutter, stabbed the woman in the abdomen and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 110th Precinct and EMS units responded to the scene. The victim was treated at Elmhurst Hospital after suffering a 4-inch laceration across the abdomen.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
