A man gained entry to a Corona church last month and then tried to pry open the door to a back office to fill his bag with items.
The suspect entered Mount Horeb Church, at 109-20 34th. Ave, at around 12:30 p.m. on July 19, police said.
He pried opened the door to the rear office and tried to fill a bag with items from the office, according to the police.
He fled when he heard a church worker and made off with nothing.
Police describe the suspect as Hispanic, light skinned and in his thirties. He was last seen wearing a light colored t-shirt with the letters “LB” on it, and a dark colored New Era baseball hat.
